Scrap Within Reach

ok...I almost hate to start scrapping winter pictures, but I have to admit that snowflakes are a standard for me on my pages. If I could figure out how to put them on all my pages, I probably would! LOL So when I saw the sketch at the Scrap Within Reach Blog, and I saw the papers and pictures I had to match...it was destiny. I also really like this picture because Logan was totally sporting the missing front tooth! (Love that!!!)

I do have to admit, the weather around here has been WONKY for fall. One day it is 90 and the next...down in the 60's. But the leaves are starting to turn. I have orange fingernails and black toe nails. My favorite season has begun!!! So winter will just have to wait. In the meantime, I will get caught up on my scrapping and maybe get my pictures from last year in the books!! Wish me luck!!

One more Sketch...and Back to School update

Well, as promised, I am staying active with my blog. So for today's post, I wanted to share a Back to School layout I did of Bailee's first day at Snider. It is based on a Sketch from the Bobunny blog.

The second layout is of Logan's first day in 3rd grade. It uses Fancy Pants products and this cool wood "paper" I had ordered from Stampin Up. The wood cuts really well in my Sizzix...and I had an excuse to use my new Die Cut!! (yeah, I am totally addicted to my Sizzix, I admit it!!)

I have to tell ya, these kids are growing up TOO FAST!!!

It's REVEAL day at Scrapdango!!

First, I must say that it has been SO MUCH FUN to be a Guest Designer this month for Scrapdango. As part of this, I was sent the September SUGAR kit...

It was just FULL of Sassafrass goodness!! So, without further ado, here are some of the projects I was able to complete (and let me just tell you there is actually paper left over...not just scraps!!)...

Let's just say I have been a scrapping FOOL lately! So inspired. Scrapdango also has a SPICE kit, which traditionally has more masculine colors. (oh yeah...I ordered that one, too...and they are now SOLD OUT...boohoo!!!) If you haven't checked them out...GO THERE NOW!!! There is still time to take part in the School's In month-long contest...my challenge and game are yet to come...and I've got PRESENTS!!!

Hey...and while you are checking out challenges (gotta give props to the other love of my life!)...check out the Scrappin Sports and More BLOG. Beginning this week through Oct. 1 they have teamed up with My Sketch World to bring you a SKETCH CHALLENGE. If you are the lucky winner...you will win the entire Calendars Made Easy line (just released this summer!!). So go over and check them out!!

Until next time...

My Little Shoebox...and a sketch!

Yep...another sketch challenge! But this layout is very special to me. Since Grandpa was placed in the nursing home in January, I have been trying to scrap about it. I guess it serves to document the times, but also helps me deal with it emotionally.

These pictures are of the bird cage that is in the main tv room. Since we couldn't go outside, we often sat and watched the birds. They are really LOUD!! One actually sounds like a car alarm is going off!!

We have a winner!!

I am so excited to share the news!! I checked the Creative Imaginations Blog today and I was chosen as the August Sketch winner!!!

Here was my entry...

Thanks to Bailee, my darling model of a daughter for the inspirational pictures. These pictures were taken at the Picture People in February on a whim. So glad we did!! I'm told I win a "generous prize package" so I will be stalking my mail!!

Thanks for letting me share my news!!
