Boxer DT Challenge

The Toes have it!!

Who doesn't have a million "feet" shots? This is one of my favs because he was curling his little toes. What can I say...I love little feet. Now when they grow up...that's another story...YUCK!!!!

So I was looking at the Creating Keepsakes website and they had a Book Challenge to cut out parts of rub ons and put them on pop dots. One person will win and get published in CK. I figured I might as well get it a try...and with this layout...I am putting my best "foot" forward! (OK...yeah...that was bad..). Anyway, I am really happy with the way it turned out. The quote is from his fav bedtime story - Guess How Much I Love You. Such a cute story if you have never read it!

Well campers, I guess that is it for me today...very busy day and I am just ZONKED. Gotta get some sleep...was up until 2am getting my scraproom cleaned. Yep...now it is confirmed that I am nuts! LOL Have a great one!!

Scrapbook and Cards Today...

This is so cool! I got another request for a publication this week! Scrapbook and Cards Today wants my layout for their Summer issue! Funny story behind this layout...the title was originally a gift to my DH from Christy (MOSD) for participating in a crop. It was supposed to be a wrestling word (Kaboom)...well..... I was working on a 4th of July lo for the MMM contest last year and needed a title...it just seemed to fit perfectly, so I "borrowed" it. Now who says crime doesn't pay? LOL Make sure to check out SCT website. This is a paper publication, but you can download the issues from the website. And if you like cool words (of nearly any shape or size) give Christy a call...I'm sure she would be happy to hook you up with just what you are looking for! I've been a fan since nearly the day she opened her doors and am completely addicted. I guess she must be my lucky charm! Thanks Christy!!!!

Weekend Crop...

Hey everyone! There is an AWESOME crop going on this weekend at scrap-a-latte ! It's all about JOURNALING! Who doesn't need a little push with that one! It is being hosted by none other than the wonderful and wacky Jen Erickson! If you get a chance...stop by! This is one of the layouts I did for a challenge. It was one way to use this random photo I had taken of Shane...looking all dapper in his leather coat! Stop by this weekend guys! You will have a blast! And tell em Shannon sent ya!!

Puppy Power (and other non related ramblings)

Well...have you missed me? After 2 weeks of stomach flu and Bailee's all-state choir, we left for the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio. That was the prize getaway that I had won earlier this year. Well, we get there and the place is AMAZING!!! They even gave us over $100 MORE stuff because we were celebrating Bailee's bday. Shane, Logan and I went surfing on boogie boards. It was crazy, but lots of fun. Bailee chose to decline this time around. I think we spent well over 8 hours in the water. Huge 3 story water slides, floating down the lazy river...just everything. They place was PLUSH! They had a full arcade, mini golf, 5-story play place...even a petting zoo all indoors!

So as soon as we get home, we go to pick up our new puppy! I had seen her before we left and the poor thing had lived 7 months in a pet store cage! I couldn't stand it and Grandpa said he would get it for the kids. She is adorable!! Her name is Annee (like Little Orphan Annie - only Bailee wanted the "ee" part). She and Jenny are tolerating each other! LOL She is just so sweet and I am loving spending time with her. I still miss Amber soooo much, but she makes it a little easier. What is better than a new puppy to love?

So now for some more amazing news! I think I posted that Scrapbook Dimensions wanted 2 of my layouts for their next issue, well...2 of my Boxer layouts made it into Scrapbook.com magazine AND Layout Blueprints just requested a layout for their next idea book! I am just on Cloud 9. 5 layouts in the last week have been requested for publication! How cool is that???

Well, I guess that is my update. I'd better go check on my ornery little puppy! Until next time...

So excited!!

After a week of stomach flu...I got some awesome news today! I am going to be in the April/May issue of Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine with not one...but TWO layouts!!! This will be a paper issue, I believe. I had the absolute honor to be in the premiere issue recently and I am so excited to have yet another layout (or two) published. This magazine is sooo cool! They are all about hybrid scrapbooking...which is something I am trying to incorporate more into my scrapping. I find that you can do so many cool things with the computer, and yet with hybrid, I still get to play with all my supplies and goodies. If you get a chance...be sure to check them out!!
